Analysis of segmentation and maximum potential seismicity of Tarwan-Dengdengshan-Chijiaciwo fault

  • There are many NW-trending faults in the eastern segment of the Arguin fault. Their new activity characteristics are of great significance to the analysis of the neotectonic evolution of the east end of the Arguin fault. The Tarwan-Dengdengshan-Chijiaciwo fault is one of the largest faults of them. A lot of works have been done on the active age, active rate and paleoearthquake period of the fault. However, the studies of segmentation characteristics and the analysis of the maximum potential earthquake on the fault are few. In this paper, based on previous research results, we put forward the segmentation and the maximum potential earthquake of the fault according to the fault segmentation principle.
