Research on selected topics of earthquake science popularization

In this paper, we analyze the selection of topics for earthquake science popularization works using the earthquake science popularization WeChat public account as the main science popularization carrier and the public account of ‘Zhen Zhi Zhuo Jian’ as an example. The creative selection should fully consider the needs of the audience and approach from multiple angles such as current events and seismic events. In addition, the relationship between the topic selection and the form of popular science creation should also be considered to find the point of convergence between the two to enhance the effect of popular science communication. The selection of topics can be columnized to create a series of works on earthquake science. Finally, some suggestions are put forward on how to improve the communication power of the popular science of WeChat public account.
