Overview of the M6.3 earthquake in Albania on November 26,2019

Abstract
A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck Albania on November 26, 2019. This is the strongest earthquake in decades in Albania’s capital Tirana and surrounding areas. A total of 51 people were killed and about 900 were injured in the earthquake. A large number of buildings and houses were destroyed or badly damaged. After December 27, the government of Albania successively declared the state of emergency for the capitals Tirana, Durres and Lac.
