General review of the M6.8 earthquake in Indonesia on 5 Aug 2018

    Abstract
  • A strong earthquake struck Indonesia on 5 August 2018 which caused major loss of life and property. Bali near Lombok has a distinct sense of shock. The epicenter of this earthquake was about 45 kilometers away from Mataram, the capital of West Nusa Tenggara, and 1 080 kilometers away from Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. After the earthquake, the Badan National Penanggulangan Bencana issued a yellow tsunami warning, but the warning was relieved at 9.25 p.m.
