Abstract
Based on the method of deformation accumulation rate, we analyzed the cross-fault observation data of the central-southern section in the Tanlu fault zone and its adjacent areas comprehensively, discussed the respective long-term variation of the fault deformation accumulation rate in different regions, studied the significance of the method for moderate earthquake. It is concluded that the stress of the central-southern section in the Tanlu fault zone is in a slow accumulation stage. Therefore, the energy accumulation for an moderate earthquakes is currently insufficient. Meanwhile, there exist significant differences in long-term variation between the regions along the main faults and the central-southern section as a whole in the Tanlu fault zone, which await further research.
