A study on the factors influencing the Hydrogen emission of Mashankou station by high precision measuring instrument

  • It is considered that Hydrogen is one of the most sensitive geochemical components that reflect the fault movement. This study on the main factors influencing the dynamic change of the Hydrogen concentration of the fault zone is the basic work for the scientific analysis of the relationship between the Hydrogen in the fault zone and its movement. Based on the continuous observations on the Hydrogen concentration of the fault gas of Mashankou and auxiliary test items, the relationship between the change of the Hydrogen concentration and ground temperature, air temperature, and air pressure is analyzed in the paper. The main influencing factor is confirmed. The result shows that the extreme value position in time of the diurnal variation of Hydrogen concentration is between that of ground temperature and air temperature and is near that of ground temperature. The analysis using stepwise regression method further proves that ground and air temperatures influence Hydrogen concentration with the significant factor of ground temperature and the insignificant one of air pressure. In conclusion, Hydrogen concentration can be influenced by the ground and the air temperatures, but is more sensitive to the ground temperature.
