Modern earthquake science research in China began at the end of Emperor Guangxu

  • Eight volumes, list of earthquakes, collected in Shanghai library were Chinese version of the volume I of the list of China's major earthquakes in French published in 1909. List of earthquakes, original manuscript of Huang Bolu, undoubtedly shows that modern earthquake science research in China began in the late years of the end of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing dynasty (1906—1908).
