Determination of focal mechanism solutions of the earthquakes with <i<M</i<≥4.0 occurred in the mainland of China during October 2022 to February 2023

  • In this paper, the regional full waveform inversion using the broadband waveforms recorded by China Seismic Network were conducted, and the focal mechanism solutions of the 46 earthquakes with <i<M</i<≥4.0 occurred in the mainland of China from October 2022 to February 2023 were obtained. The centroid location and time shift of the <i<M</i<6.1 Shaya, Xinjiang earthquake were determinated by a grid search in the horizontal plane. The types of these focal mechanism solutions show 15 reverse faulting, 15 strike-slip faulting, 14 normal faulting and 2 odd earthquakes.
