Study on seismic Q structure in Wushan area of Chongqing Municipality

  • The seismic waveform data of ML≥2.0 earthquakes recorded by Chongqing Digital Seismic Network were collected between January 2010 and December 2016 for investigating Q structure in Wushan area by using the Atkinson method. A frequency-dependent Q model Q( f )=175.7f 0.75 is obtained for the Wushan area, where the Q is higher than that in its adjacent area, including Badong and Hubei areas. Combining with seismicity, the Q result suggests that the Wushan area is relatively stable.
