Research on the development status and innovation path of children’s earthquake popular science books in the new era

Under the background of the new era, popular science books for children help to cultivate the scientific spirit of children readers, and also help to improve the scientific literacy and awareness of the whole nation. Based on the analysis of the connotation of popular earthquake science books for children, this paper compares the knowledge content and expression form of the main books at home and abroad, and analyzes the problems and shortcomings of the current popular earthquake science books for children. And then the innovative development path of children’s earthquake popular science books in China under the background of the new era is put forward. Specifically, it includes the establishment of the priority development principle of “children oriented”, innovating the expression form and thinking mode of popular science reading materials, focusing the popular science plot and thinking of “perfectionism”, and enhancing the training of children’s earthquake popular science writing team, etc.
