Abstract:
According to the statistics of the fault cases of Jiangsu seismological network from 2013 to 2017, the observation system is divided into three parts: professional observation equipment, network equipment, power supply and grounding. In this paper, 6 categories and 19 sub-categories of fault types are summarized. About 83% of faults are due to the failures of professional instruments and their power supply devices. The failure rate of data collectors is the highest. Nearly half of the seismometer failures are unlocking pendulum failures; the voltage stabilized power supply failures are much more than UPS failures; the failure rate has increased significantly since 2015. It is suggested to use industrial-grade intelligent power supply, seismometer and data collector to supply power separately, replace equipment beyond service life, unify the observation equipment and configuration of stations throughout the province, improve the operation and maintenance mode and emergency repair system, and form regional technical specifications or standards for building stations, which can further reduce the failure rate of equipment and reduce the time of interruption.
