Abstract:
Based on the original data collected for many years, this paper makes a historical review of the emergency situation at the site after the 7.4-magnitude earthquake in Bohai Sea on July 18, 1969. On the day after the earthquake, the central earthquake working group, China’s first national leading organization for earthquake work, was established, and for the first time unified command and dispatch of major earthquake site work. The Bohai Sea earthquake promotes the rapid development of the earthquake emergency work in Shandong Province, which is a landmark event of the seismic work in Shandong Province. The Bohai Sea earthquake in 1969 left a historical mark on the development of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction in China in the past 50 years.
