Abstract: The superiority of using earthquake emergency thematic map visually to obtain or express basic information and various data after destructive earthquake is incommensurable. Aiming at the current problems of earthquake emergency thematic map in Gansu province, such as large span magnitude, vague expression of thematic content, lack of products, and delay of data updating and loading et al, this paper researched how to highlight thematic content, label reasonable, and format earthquake emergency thematic map templates with more fine classification （M0.1）. This paper promotes the readability, timeliness, guidance and standard of thematic mapping in our province, and provides scientific basis for the government’s decision on earthquake relief and rescue.
