Abstract: An earthquake（M_S6.9）occurred in Millin county, Nyingchi city, Tibet Autonomous Region on November 18, 2017. Based on the building material in the Tibet fieldwork investigated by the Institute of Geophysics, China Earthquake Administration in September 2017, we analyzed the building construction and anti-seismic performance in the earthquake area before and after the Millin earthquake. We focused on the housing construction and the damage after the earthquake in Zhaxigang village in Lulang town, Yigong lake embankment, Bangjia village in Millin town, Gangdui village in Gangdui town. These sites are located at the seismic intensity of Ⅶ and Ⅵ area. This paper also gave some seismic fortification suggestions for future earthquakes.
