Abstract:
It is an essential approach of reducing and lowering earthquake losses, through implementing strategic guideline of the Belt and Road Initiative by virtue of existing and effective regional cooperation platform concept, and continuously improving earthquake disaster management and emergency rescue capability in each region. Natural disasters occurred along the route of One Belt One Road are different due to their different geographical location, landforms and climate. This paper presents preliminary review on the development of earthquake disaster management system and emergency rescue capability of different regions along the route of One Belt One Road, in sequence of South Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Western Asia, East Asia and Central Europe, for the purpose of providing reference for strengthening inter-regional emergency rescue cooperation.
