Abstract: Based on the eight sudden jumps （abrupt）of the YRY-4 drilling strain data of Gaochun seismic station in Nanjing city, Jiangsu Province from 2012 to 2016, the abrupt characteristics, abnormal amplitude, duration and abnormal properties were analyzed. The relationship between the borehole strain and the earthquake anomaly mechanism is discussed.
