Abstract: Seismic activity in the Guizhou region is at a medium level nationwide. Due to the complex geographical environment, specific tectonic background, and the severe sesmic situations in surrounding provinces, the potential risk of earthquake disasters in the area cannot be ignored. This article divides Guizhou into Zone A and Zone B based on differences in seismic activity, topography, population distribution, and transportation networks, analyzes the main factors affecting the severity of earthquake disasters, and summarizes key points for earthquake emergency preparedness and response in the two zones. Analyzing and studying earthquake emergency work and response key points in Guizhou according to regional characteristics is of great significance, as it can enhance the relevance and effectiveness of earthquake emergency work within the province and improve earthquake disaster response capabilities.
