Abstract:
With the increasing demand for earthquake monitoring and prediction in the new era, observation of radon should be widely popularized and applied because of its sensitive response in seismology. However, due to the excessive exploitation of groundwater resources, the observation environment of water radon is deteriorating and the long-standing observation of soil radon is relatively rare at present. For this reason, using the AlphaGUARD P2000 radon meter observation results of a known fault for more than one year's measurements, this paper proposes a periodical fixed-point observation method of soil radon in the field in aspects of the measurement position, the measurement period and the gas gathering device respectively. It provides a reference for the application of soil radon observation in the monitoring of active fault and the application of abnormal verification.
